Carbon shank hooks serve tie-back, utility, and general-duty applications where alloy lifting grades aren't required — an economical hook for wire rope assemblies, block rebuilds, and non-critical service. Straight-shank mounting fits standard spelter sockets and swage fittings, and latch kits are available across the size range. For overhead lifting duty, step up to alloy shank hooks (we stock those too); for everything else, carbon covers the job at a better price. All hooks are load-rated and marked, with the same inspection rules applying: retire for throat spread over 15%, twist over 10°, cracks, or gouges. Send hook size, capacity, and shank dimensions through the quote form above — pricing and lead time back from our Texas warehouse during business hours.
